Lean Training Courses and Workshops
Toyota Lean Management Centre offer a range of Lean training courses and workshops. Many can be run either at your site, at our Derbyshire vehicle plant or at the Toyota engine factory in North Wales.
Online Training
To complement the courses offered at our Deeside Engine Plant we offer a number of online training opportunities. All sessions are held live with limited group sizes providing clients with the opportunity to question and challenge the experienced Toyota coaches.
Half Day Lean Introduction Seminar
Our shortest course offering a glimpse inside the world of Toyota. After a short introduction it's time to head to the shop floor to see examples of Lean in action. The session ends with a buffet lunch and the opportunity to quiz the experts.
1.5 Day Lean Management Workshop
Our most popular course, delegates receive a mixture of classroom theory, participate in practical application using Lego and immerse themselves on the shop floor to witness the results. Includes a networking dinner with experienced Toyota staff.
2 Day Lean Management Workshop
Building on the content of the 1.5 day course the 2 day workshop digs deeper into culture. Additional elements include Hoshin and a session with a Toyota Senior Manager making this course ideal for business leaders.

Not just a clean & tidy workplace!
5S is a tool that when used correctly will enable the elimination of waste that contributes to the creation of mistakes, defects and injuries in the workplace.
Effective Maintenance
Stability is the bedrock of the Toyota Production System, without repeatable, reliable and capable processes standardised work cannot be implemented and just in time is impossible. Start your journey from reactive to proactive maintenance.
Practical Problem Solving
Toyota use a systematic eight step process to solve problems. Learn the same approach which is taught to every Toyota employee worldwide. More than just theory, delegates will solve a real problem during the course.
Standardised Work
Standardisation and Kaizen are the platform that supports the Toyota Production System. Learn how to study a process, identify waste and create a kaizen plan. Your own process or one at Toyota, the choice is yours.
Kaizen
Kaizen (change for the better) means we are always looking for a better way. Finding just 1% improvement every day would double results in under four months. Most people learn by doing, so our focus is to get you involved.
Value Stream Mapping
Value stream mapping is a tool for visualising the flow of material and information. This tools helps you see waste and there is often more than you would think. Come to Deeside and study Toyota or we can come to you.
5 Day Course
The 5 day workshop explores in detail the concepts of the Toyota Production System and Toyota Way behaviours. A real appetite for Lean is essential, this course is no holiday.
