Background
Schools are responsible for ensuring the development of the employees and leaders of tomorrow. Historically a sector who have thought little about lean principles but Jeremy Griffiths, Headteacher at Ysgol Gwynedd in Flint saw the potential and a chance meeting with TLMC has led to over 100 Headteachers and leaders being trained in lean principles.
TLMC designed a bespoke course which helps link TPS principles to a school environment. Course participants spend one day at the engine plant followed by a day at a local school.

Sharing Best Practice
The Headteacher from Mountain Lane Primary School in Buckley was inspired and returned to Deeside to share some of their successes. "A far cry from the PE cupboard when I went to school, 5S ensures more time for value adding activity and less time searching for equipment".
